Love One Another

February is the โ€œmonth of ๐—Ÿ๐—ข๐—ฉ๐—˜โ€, but we are called to Love One Another ๐—”๐—Ÿ๐—ช๐—”๐—ฌ๐—ฆ.

John 13:34-35

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.

This is a new ๐˜พ๐™Š๐™ˆ๐™ˆ๐˜ผ๐™‰๐˜ฟ๐™ˆ๐™€๐™‰๐™ย  we are given by Jesus to โ€œlove one another.โ€

We are reminded of this commandment by John the Apostle in 1 John 4:21, โ€œAnd this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God ๐™ข๐™ช๐™จ๐™ฉย  love his brother also.โ€

Many people are surprised when we begin a freedom ministry session that we start with forgiveness. I take it very seriously because Jesus is serious about it. Forgiveness is a major key to healing and deliverance. Forgiving others and receiving the forgiveness God offers us through repentance. (1 John 1:9)

I challenge you to do an inventory of your heart and ask God these questions:

God, would you begin to bring forward any names of people who have held my heart back from full forgiveness? Anyone at all that still has pain, disappointment, bitterness and offense tied to them.

Lord, I thank You for your mercy, grace, and forgiveness. Please search my heart and show me the burdens that I am carrying that I need to cast at Your feet. (1 Peter 5:7) I know that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). You died for our sins to be covered in Your blood. This is the truth of what you accomplished on the cross. Your sacrifice is such an unfair transaction that it has been hard for me to hand those things over to You, but I know I need to. Please help me to let go of any shame and guilt and walk in Your forgiveness and total freedom.
